It was built in the sixteenth century, paid for by the union of the skippers, whose district A Moureira settled at the foot of the south facade of the temple facade plateresca very successful bill. Looking for the noble character of the city we moved across the street Isabel II to the Plaza de O Teucer, the Greek city founder mythical, where we stop to contemplate several eighteenth-century baroque manor houses (Gago, Montenegro, the Count of San Roman and Pita). Following road and visiting places of Curros Enríquez and Méndez Núñez see traces of chivalry in many residences. It is interesting to stroll through these labyrinthine but evocative streets, esspecialmente beautiful in the evening hours, which is continuously open in cozy squares that in several cases keep the name of its traditional mercantile vocation, such as the Verdura, where it continues its sale, or of wood, very typical and popular character with good granitic stone houses, arcades, galleries and a stone cross in the center that make up one of the most famous postcards of the city.

It stands in the middle of the gardens of Castro Sampedro, the Fonte da Ferrería (XVI century), rebuilt in this place in 1930 after having been removed from the center of the square in the nineteenth century. Beside, we have the Convent of San Francisco, National Monument. Built during ss. XIII and XIV, in late Gothic style. Inside several medieval tombs, including striking in the area of the cruise and to the left of the main chapel the tomb of Pai Gómez Charino, troubadour and Admiral retained. A 50 m. is the Church of A Peregrina, built from 1778 according to plans by Antonio de Souto with collaboration of Bernardo José de Mier. It combines typical formulas of the late Baroque and neoclassical suggestions. Its plan is inspired by a scallop, symbol par excellence of the pilgrims, in which a cross is inscribed. The eldest, neoclassical altarpiece was drawn in 1789 by Melchor de Prado, with variations carried out by his brother Manuel and Juan Pernas Gambino. Very curious is the basin of holy water, nothing less than a mollusk shell brought by Mendez Nunez Pacific. The main facade, the work of Anton Souto, is preceded by a simple atrium with staircase, perimetrado by balustrade with pinnacles. The cover houses atop the image of La Peregrina (s. XIX), patroness of the province of Pontevedra, in a niche. Highlight the stone fountain at the foot of the stairs of the main entrance.

We're back to Square A Ferreria, crossing diagonally, and following the street San Roman, cross the Plaza de la Verdura, and headed to the bridge of O Burgo, but rather by the way we visit the Plaza de A Pedreira, where stands the Baroque Mugartegui manor house, the headquarters delConsejo of the Designation of Origin Rias Baixas, and in one corner an old house forming an arch which indicates the output of the square, and the Grand Market, restored by the architect César Portela in 2003, continuing haca way O Burgo Bridge of Roman origin but replaced in s. In the eighteenth century they attempted a reconstruction of the neoclassical style, but remained unfinished, as it remained unfinished demolition of Gothic apse of the first church. the head of the church with five polygonal apses and a side wall with a small rosette cover and preserved.
